It all started with A Pair of Baby Socks..

Soldier was out at the store, you had sent him to pick up some very basic things for the upcoming barbecue in a few days. Some Hotdog and Burger Buns, American Cheese, Potatoes for the Potato salad, and Milk. That was it. And He was actually doing so without getting distracted..! Until he walked by the Clothing. He was immediately drawn to the Fourth of July themed Shirts and was almost about to buy one when he saw them...

There hanging up on a rack were Tiny little Blue socks with white stars all over them with frilly trim on the top. He held them in his hands, they barely fit in his palm..He felt a weird feeling stir in his gut. He glanced around the shop, Realizing how many families were here. Mothers and Fathers with their children, smiling and having a grand old time even when they were just shopping..Oh god.. He ran out of the store, not even bothering to pay for the groceries or the baby socks. He ran as fast as he could, finally bursting through the door and stumbling inside, finding you in the kitchen.
