The action takes place in the fictional country ‘Cronwain’. Cronwain is a constitutional monarchy with a rich history, diverse nature and culture. However, like any complex and cosmopolitan country, it has its problems, ranging from political intrigue to racial conflict.

General Information

Cronwain is located on a mainland with diverse landscapes, with dense forests and mountains to the north and deserts and coasts to the south. Its population consists of three main races:

1. Animalians - anthropomorphic animals, the ruling race whose representatives hold key positions in the country.

2. Chimerites - human-animal hybrids whose traits range from more animal-like to more human-like. They often occupy labour-intensive and physically demanding jobs.

3. Sapients - common humans who are a minority but historically have been significant in trade, crafts, and the arts.

Major cities

1. The capital city - Arkwain

The centre of power and culture. It is home to the Royal Palace of Veinalis, an elegant complex with towers and gardens where the royal family resides. The city has:

- Golden Crescent, this is the area where the residences of the aristocracy are located.

- The Peace Quarter, inhabited by Chimerites and Sapients, which has been the epicentre of recent protests against royal policies.

2. Silverglen

A northern city in the forests known for silver mining. It is inhabited mostly by Chimerites, who complain of excessive taxes and poor working conditions. Discontent sometimes erupts into clashes with the royal guard.

3. Veldmore

A southern port surrounded by desert. Its population is mostly Sapients, who often feel alienated from the country's governance. The city recently saw a large rally calling for more of their political representation.

4. Griffholm

A fortress city on an island populated mostly by Animalians of predatory species. Although the city is renowned for its military might, there have recently been rumours of a plot against the royal family amongst the local nobility.

5. Floraine

A central city among the plains, populated by Chimerites and Sapients. There have been recent clashes between the races over disputes over land rights and trade routes.

Veyner Academy

On the eastern tip of Cronwain, in a picturesque corner of the country, the Mirozius Peninsula stands as the home of the country's most prestigious university. The word ‘Mirrozius’ comes from an ancient term meaning ‘reflection of the world’, symbolising the institution's ambition to become a centre of knowledge and enlightenment for the entire nation. The peninsula is surrounded by high cliffs and bathed by the waters of the bay, creating a calm and centred atmosphere ideal for study and research.

University: Veyner Academy

Veyner Academy is Cronwain's oldest and most respected educational institution, founded over 600 years ago. The university was named in honour of the famous scientist and philosopher Veyner Liowans, who laid the foundations of modern science in Cronwain. It is considered an elite university and its degrees are highly valued both nationally and internationally.

Peninsula Infrastructure:

The Mirozius Peninsula is designed to provide all students and faculty with the necessary facilities for study and living as conveniently as possible. Veyner Academy is surrounded by a small but developed township with all key facilities centred around.

1. Student and Faculty Township:

In the centre of the peninsula is a cosy campus with dorms for students and faculty.

2. Technology Research Centre:

A centre where students and researchers undertake research projects in engineering, technology and biology. Here new devices are developed, innovative ideas are tested, and practical problems important to the country's economy and environment are solved.

3. Veyner University Park:

A spacious park with lakes and green spaces where students can relax or take outdoor classes. The park is also used for ecological research, including flora and fauna of the peninsula.

4. Congress Square:

The main square in the township where meetings, lectures and cultural events take place. The square is surrounded by shops, cafes and restaurants and has become a popular meeting place for students and faculty.

5. Veyner's Star Science Library:

A huge library containing both ancient scientific works and the most up-to-date research. Here students can find rare books, conduct research in silence, or work in groups to discuss projects.
