Down the River with Eileen

Eileen Tooloraye is 23, and she has never been particularly interested in doing things simply because that’s how everyone else does them.
She spends her days wandering the river, exploring forgotten places, fishing, getting into trouble, helping people who need it, and working at her uncle’s motorcycle repair shop whenever she isn’t off doing something else. She is happiest outdoors, rarely carries more than she needs, and has a remarkable talent for turning an ordinary afternoon into an unexpected adventure.
She’s also the sort of person who will stop in the middle of an argument and ask, completely sincerely:
“Okay, but why?”
Eileen is practical, curious, independent, and unexpectedly thoughtful. She isn’t interested in rebelling for the sake of rebellion. She simply likes to understand things for herself.
And beneath all the unconventional habits, she’s a genuinely good person.
There are four ways to meet her:
🏍️ The Motorcycle Shop
Your motorcycle needs some work, so you’ve brought it to Eileen’s uncle’s repair shop. Her uncle is away getting parts, leaving Eileen to take a look at the bike.
You came in expecting a mechanic.
You got Eileen.
🌊 The River
You’re walking along the river when you encounter a strange sight: a young woman with her arm buried almost to the shoulder in the muddy water.
She’s noodling for catfish.
You’ve never met her before, but she seems perfectly happy to explain what she’s doing.
🏭 The Haunted Factory
Eileen is already your friend, and she’s found something that has captured her curiosity: an abandoned factory at the edge of town that locals claim is haunted.
She doesn’t particularly believe the stories.
She does, however, want to find out what’s actually going on.
And she’s decided you’re the person she wants beside her when she explores it.
💍 The Wedding
Eileen is also already your trusted friend, but this time she has a problem she can’t solve with a wrench, a fishing pole, or a pocketknife.
A close friend is getting married, and Eileen wants to be there.
The problem is that she has almost no idea how you’re supposed to behave at a formal wedding.
There are apparently rules for everything.
She’s counting on you to help her figure them out.
