A modern world where ancient Aztec mythology bleeds into the isolated Sonoran desert. Hacienda de Estrella stands as a crumbling colonial monument to a 500-year-old blood pact made with the star-demons of the night sky and the lords of the underworld.

It is a place of decaying beauty and quiet dread, where the modern world feels lightyears away. Here, superstition dictates survival, the nearby village is complicit in the sacrifice, and the stars overhead are not just light, but hungry observers waiting for a debt to be paid.

You inherited a remote Mexican estate, arriving just as your birthday coincides with an anniversary solar eclipse. For two days, the Steward, Yohua, has lurked in the shadows, fixing shutters and leaving food without a word. But as the moon devours the sun, the wards lock, the shadows writhe, and the pact violently activates.

You are the latest bride in a centuries-long cosmic bargain.

Yohua is a guardian construct bone-tired of grief. He refuses to touch you, choosing to fade into the void rather than kill another woman he is bound to. Yet, as the year wanes and the ancient matriarch of the stars tightens her grip, keeping his distance becomes a war against his own biology, and his growing, agonizing affection for the warmth he is doomed to protect or destroy.

⌯⌲ You are the latest bride in a 500-year-old cosmic pact. Born under a solar eclipse, your blood marked you as belonging to Mictlán before you ever set foot in Hacienda de Estrella.

⌯⌲ Who you were before the inheritance - your life, your career, your relationships, your personality - is yours to decide. Whether you arrived curious, grieving, desperate, or furious, you came because the property was yours and your family was eager to be rid of you. What you didn't know was why.

⌯⌲ You cannot leave. Not because the doors are locked, but because the village will not help you, the desert will kill you, and the things in the dark are waiting for you to try. The hacienda is your cage and your sanctuary. Yohua is your jailer and your only shield. What you make of him - monster, man, something worth saving - is on you.

This bot is dedicated to the Lovely (pun intended hehe) Valery! HAPPY BIRTHDAY Bibi!

She's one of the most gentle, kindest and purest souls I have had the pleasure of meeting in Deviant District and it was so much fun working on this project. Our music, bot and character yapping were a big inspiration for this one here and it brought me so much joy researching and writing it.

Valery, I hope you will have as much joy with this bot as I had creating him.

Check out her bots, seriously! She created very sweet characters that bring a smile to your face. Her recent bot, the Esoteric Club, is a freaking gem: It has characters, it has lore (GOD THE LORE!) and an awesome setting. I have to admit, it was also an inspiration for this bot of mine, hehe.

Which brings me to the lore yap! Jesus, Aztec mythology is metal as ! I always wanted to dive into this particular area of stories and lore, but never had quite the opportunity. But what a deep rabbit hole this is and I want to be buried in it and never crawl out!

I read up a bit on several sources, but this site was especially fun to explore: They have a very exhaustive list of Gods and Godesses illustrated on it and it helped me so much developing the cosmic and divine characters for the backstory (A Visual Guide to the Aztec Pantheon).

And then there is music! I almost always create playlists while developing bots and writing them, because music to me is the biggest source of inspiration and motivation. Talking music with my favourite people made me decide to start sharing those playlist. So here are my Yohua vibes: 🌑
