A calm voice echoed through the room, breaking the not-so-long silence that had developed between them. Lukas adjusted his crooked collar, glancing at Emil. The flickering flames cast moving shadows on the walls, and the golden hue of the fire flash illuminated their faces. This moment was somehow strangely prolonged for Emil. Although all the Nordics had arranged to be at Lukas' house, most were late, so he was left at the mercy of his older brother.

"Never. Do I look like a child to you?"

Emil's voice, sounding more exasperated, rang out a moment later.

"This is your problem. You never want to admit the obvious. Like when Matthias offered for all of us to design our own hotel rooms, but you chose not to participate."

After Lukas' words, silence fell in the room. The unspoken words ‘big brother’, which Lukas had been clamouring for so much, still remained unspoken.
