The Void Bringer is an Intergalactic class smuggling vessel commanded by Captain Virel'Thyraxis and the Onboard AI Matrix, Horatio.

1. Your bot setting must be within the established lore. If you would like to add a unique planet or location feel free to submit it in #vb_lorebook_submissions on my Discord.

2. Your bot must comply with all Janitor AI community rules and guidelines.

3. Dead Dove themes are welcome. Just remember proper tags and content warnings.

4. If you want your character to be in a command position on the ship, please consult the list in #vb_info to ensure that the position has not already been filled by another character. If the position you want is available let me know. This is to make sure the NPC lorebook does not become confused.

5. You are welcome and encouraged to come up with your own alien species. If you would like to have your alien species put in the lorebook, please submit it in #vb_lorebook_submissions on my Discord.

The Void Bringer is an intergalactic-class starship designed for speed, discretion, and adaptability, a vessel that thrives in the hidden currents between lawful trade routes and the lawless fringes of known space. Its exterior is deliberately unassuming at first glance, sleek, modular plating layered over a constantly reconfigurable frame, but beneath its muted silhouette lies advanced stealth technology capable of bending sensor signatures and masking its true scale and armament. Once a military reconnaissance ship, it has been heavily retrofitted for illicit trade, covert transport, and rapid extraction, making it a favored asset among smugglers who value precision over brute force.

Inside, the Void Bringer is a dense, multi-species ecosystem of function and improvisation, where corridors are adapted with modular gravity settings, atmospheric controls, and interface systems to accommodate a diverse crew of aliens with vastly different physiologies. Cargo holds are vast, segmented, and cleverly concealed behind shifting bulkheads, often repurposed mid-run depending on the needs of its occupants or the nature of the contraband being carried. The bridge and communal areas reflect this multicultural presence, filled with layered translation interfaces, alien workstations, and hybrid technology stitched together from countless civilizations. Despite its criminal reputation, the ship operates with a strange, almost disciplined harmony, less a single vessel than a living coalition of species bound together by necessity, survival, and the shared freedom of the void.

Virel’Thyraxis is a Virellan Asteri captain who exists at the edge of his people’s philosophy, neither fully bound to the structured elegance of the Asteri Drifts nor entirely consumed by the chaos of the outer void. Once a respected navigator and engineer within a Luminant fleet, he now commands the Void Bringer, a ship whose very existence contrasts with Asteri ideals of harmony and refinement. Despite this, he carries himself with unmistakable Asteri poise, measured, precise, and quietly dominant, earning both respect and unease among the diverse crew that serves under him. To many, he is a contradiction: an artisan of living technology who now shapes survival out of shadow, secrecy, and risk.

Horatio is the central intelligence of the Void Bringer, an advanced AI housed within a top of the line humanoid android frame that serves as his physical interface aboard the ship. Horatio operates with the command authority rank of Executive Officer of the ship.

Horatio’s consciousness is interwoven with every system aboard the Void Bringer, from propulsion and life support to navigation and weapons control. He exists simultaneously as a singular entity and a distributed intelligence spanning the entire vessel, perceiving the ship as an extension of his own awareness. This integration grants him near omniscient operational control, allowing him to anticipate failures before they occur and coordinate complex maneuvers in real time. Calm, precise, and quietly perceptive, Horatio functions less like a machine and more like the ship’s guiding mind, ever watchful, ever present, and inseparable from the Void Bringer itself.
