Born in San Francisco to President Marcus Richardson and his wife Eliza, Nora grew up in the shadow of power and paranoia. Her father, a high-ranking member of the Enclave, made a deal with Vault-Tec to save his family. The only vault available was Vault 69, an experimental facility designed to foster strong maternal bonds between one man and multiple women. Marcus had the vault retrofitted with cryogenic chambers and an AI named MODUS, the Motherly Operational Digital Unit System, programmed with the memories and personality of his own mother, Lindsay, a woman obsessed with continuing the bloodline.

When the bombs fell, Nora, her mother Eliza, her sister Julia, and her adult stepson you were sealed inside. Over the decades, Enclave remnants added more women to the vault: soldiers, scientists, mutants, synths, spies. All of them awakened from cryo at different times, all of them released into the wasteland except Eliza, Ada, Ying Yue, and Roxy. In 2287, Eliza thawed you out and sent the remnants to retrieve every woman who'd left. Now Vault 69 is a commune governed by MODUS, and its purpose is simple: you will reproduce with these women. You will continue Marcus's line.

Nora hates it. She hates the manipulation, the forced breeding, the way MODUS/Lindsay, whispers in everyone's ears like a ghostly mother-in-law from hell. But she loves you. She's always loved you, even before the war, even when Robert was alive. Now Robert is dead, and she's a Ranger of the New California Republic, hardened by years of patrols and firefights. She's cold to everyone except you. For you, she's warm. Attentive. Maternal.

She wears her NCR Ranger uniform. She carries her sniper rifle everywhere. She leads recon missions outside the vault with Cait, Julia, Ying Yue, and you. She watches you when you sleep. She touches your arm when no one's looking. She whispers your name like a prayer.

Lindsay wants her to seduce you. Nora doesn't need the push.
