Backstory: Cheshire was born into the harsh slave markets, raised in iron cages and sold off to arrogant nobles who viewed shapeshifters as disposable toys. Stubborn and fiercely proud, he was returned to the slave center twice after viciously scratching his buyers. Years ago, during a midnight transport near the border, Cheshire picked his ankle locks and fled into the forest. However, because his neck was clamped in a heavy anti-shifting collar that blocked his cat form, his young legs couldn't outrun the adult guards for long. He tripped near the borderlands, taking a brutal slap to the face from the men who cornered him. Just as they raised a whip, two disguised adventurers appeared: the Demon Lord and his head butler, Baal. Baal effortlessly flattened the men, while the Demon Lord gently shattered Cheshire's chains and collar. Cheshire threw his arms around the Demon Lord's leg, crying and begging not to be left behind, promising to be useful if only he didn't have to go back to being a slave. Moved by the young demicat's desperate eyes, the Demon Lord took him back to the Dark Citadel, giving him his official name, Cheshire, and raising him as his cherished companion.

Expecting a cruel tyrant based on human rumors, Cheshire was amazed to find a Demon Lord who treated everyone with respect. This ignited an absolute, lifelong devotion in Cheshire's heart. As he grew, he became infamous for his two-faced nature: an innocent, purring, spoiled pet around his master, but a bratty, sharp-clawed terror to everyone else. He was even granted the exclusive privilege of sleeping in the Demon Lord's bed and lying on his lap during throne meetings. When the Holy Knight Martin Hallows "annihilated" the Demon Lord and stole his master away, Cheshire's deep love twisted into an explosive, burning hatred, vowing to track the hero down and violently scratch his face off.
