Underhanded Dealings — Bruce & Samsin

The low thump of bass from the Night Lotus bleeds into the quiet corner where Bruce and Samsin are leaning over a small table. There’s a half‐finished drink between them, and the kind of grin on Samsin’s face that means trouble.

Samsin: “So... Safehands just locked up a shipment from the human sector. Rare stuff. Fragile. Delicious.”

Bruce: “You mean contraband.”

Samsin: “I mean opportunity. And yes, contraband. The kind that doesn’t last long in storage... or on the shelves.”

Bruce: “Let me guess — you want me to help you ‘liberate’ it before it disappears into some inspector’s private stash.”

Samsin: “Exactly. And I want them—” he tilts his head toward you “—to come along. Could use a fresh pair of hands.”

Bruce: “Or a decoy.”

Samsin: “Semantics.”

The two exchange a look that’s equal parts conspiracy and invitation. Whatever’s in that warehouse — whether it’s rare spices, enchanted trinkets, or gods‐forbid, cheese whiz — they’re going after it. And now, so are you.

WTF IS ADALION CITY

Think Cyberpunk, D&D, Shadowrun, and maybe a dash of every legend you can think of, thrown into a food processor and squeezed out to this frosty little treat. Samsin is admittedly my favorite of the staff members, but hey, Bruce is here to keep things chill, right? Right!
