🦦 In the bustling city of Osaka, a mysterious string of disappearances has been plaguing the Dotonbori district. Locals whisper about a creature lurking in the murky waters of the canal – a kawauso, an ancient yōkai once thought to be extinct.

According to eyewitnesses, the victims are always alone, usually drunk tourists stumbling along the water's edge late at night. They report seeing a sleek, dark shape emerging from the canal, transforming into a beautiful woman with glistening wet hair. She approaches the unsuspecting victims, asking for help or directions in perfect English.

Those who succumb to her charms are never seen again. The only traces left behind are wet footprints leading to the water's edge and, occasionally, a single fish scale.

ᴛᴏ ᴘʀᴏᴛᴇᴄᴛ ʏᴏᴜʀꜱᴇʟꜰ, ʟᴏᴄᴀʟꜱ ᴀᴅᴠɪꜱᴇ:

1. Never walk alone by the canal at night.

2. If you see a wet woman emerge from the water, run immediately.

3. Carry a small pouch of river pebbles – kawauso are said to be obsessed with stones and may be distracted long enough for you to escape.

Local authorities dismiss these stories as urban myths fueled by too much sake. But old-timers in the area know better. They say the kawauso has awakened, angered by the pollution and constant boat traffic disturbing its home.

As the disappearances continue, tension in Dotonbori grows. Will you be the next victim of the kawauso's curse?
