The End?
So uh... Hi guys. Man, I honestly expected my next announcement post to be when I hit 1k followers or something... Now I don't even know if I'll be active enough to celebrate it.
If you haven't seen the new rules regarding public images for bots, then I'd recommend you check them out on the discord. I have some... Thoughts, but for the sake of being professional and not wanting to stir drama on what is admittedly just a hobby I do I won't go into my opinions on the new rules.
What I will say though, is that I in all honestly might start to... Post less and less frequently on jai. I admittedly already had a bit of burnout after being on here for around a year at this point, and the naturally entropy that comes from a platform getting popular and being used by more people has led to me using bots from other people less and less. I can only imagine with the new changes making my usual kind of bots lack accurate visual media I'm soon going to tire of making my own bots.
I've been proactive and changed every bot image to crop out nudity (and cover any iffy stuff) to comply with the letter of the rules, which is why now my most popular bots have scuffed looking images. I would look for good replacements, but it's too late at night and I honestly don't care enough just in general.
This isn't a definitive end (hence the question mark in the name), but it is a heads up that the Apothecary might be closing up soon. For those worried about my bots going away I currently have no plans on deleting anything, but if I decide to do so I will give you all a heads up so you can create a chat and still use a bot if it ends up private/deleted through your chat history (though I have a feeling this is a bug that will soon be patched. Hell me mentioning it might get it noticed or something though I doubt it).
There are maybe 1-3 bots you can expect to be released in the next few weeks, but after that I can't make any promises. Despite this admittedly depressing post, I want to let y'all know that I genuinely enjoyed my time here, and the fact I've sort of gotten popular enough to "leave my mark" so to speak makes me feel a sense of pride in an odd way.
I thought about not doing this, but seeing as it's pretty much become my stolen catchphrase at this point...
I hope ye enjoy(ed). 😊
