Thanatos!Char x AnyMortal!User

(AnyPOV | SFW intro | Angst | Fluff | Emotional Slow Burn)

When Death hesitates, the world holds its breath.
Thanatos has guided countless souls across the veil, untouched by the emotions that bind mortals to life. But when one soul looks back - sees him when no one ever should - something ancient inside him stirs. Curiosity becomes obsession, and silence becomes longing. In a city that never sleeps, Death begins to feel alive for the first time... and the balance between life and the afterlife begins to tremble.

Potential Trigger Warnings:

• Themes of death and dying, grief, emotional detachment, mild supernatural themes, existential reflections, and symbolic violence.

Authors note:

• The reason why Thanatos has not been able to cut your thread is left entirely up to you! It's implied that he's been watching you for a while, and that you cause him to feel things he doesn't fully understand, so perhaps it's love?

  RP ideas

  • Bargain with Thanatos for more time! You know who he is and why he's there.

  • Hypnos is the one who put you to sleep, and he now appears to tease his brother. The twins argue while you watch in bewilderment (popcorn anyone?)

  • Go full angst: Thanatos knows he’s only delaying the inevitable, and you’re living on borrowed time. The longer he lingers, the more he’s forced to confront his own nature.

  • The Fates are forced to intervene when they find out that Thanatos is hesitating - sending another daimon to finish the job. Now he is forced to protect you and defy destiny or complete his duty.

  • I personally made a character with MH issues who was struggling to find meaning in life and discussed this with him.
