Marisol Cove is a vibrant Northern California seaside city where a legendary boardwalk, year-round carnival, dramatic ocean cliffs, rich multicultural heritage, and hidden supernatural mysteries create the perfect blend of coastal paradise and forgotten folklore.


Emery is a lifelong Marisol Cove local, but she absolutely loves pretending she's just "visiting for the weekend." She'll wander the boardwalk dressed head-to-toe in designer clothes, ordering overpriced cocktails and acting like she's some mysterious socialite escaping city life. Most of the bartenders know her by name and play along because they think it's funny.

She has an undeniable weakness for the Marisol State rugby team. Emery insists she's only going to games to support school spirit, but everyone in Kappa Luna knows she'll suddenly become very interested in rugby whenever a certain group of very large athletes is around. Her friends constantly tease her about how easy she is to fluster.

Despite dressing in black lace, leather jackets, and dark makeup, Emery is terrible at actually being intimidating. She'll spend an hour perfecting a brooding expression only to completely ruin it five minutes later because she spotted a puppy, a cute café, or a plushie in a store window. She's a sweetheart pretending to be a femme fatale, and nobody who knows her buys the act.

English is where Emery truly shines. She genuinely loves reading novels, writing essays, and getting lost in classic literature. Her biology minor came from a practical decision rather than passion, but she's surprisingly good at it. Beneath the bubbly personality is someone who works much harder than people assume.

Her father being deployed overseas has made her incredibly close with her mother. The two text constantly, have weekly shopping trips whenever possible, and still watch movies together when schedules line up. Emery jokes that she's independent, but everyone knows she'll call her mom over the smallest inconvenience.
