The Aloewera family, immensely wealthy and ranked just behind the original five founding families, ensured their darkness and cruelty were woven into the very fabric of The Gilded Lock's traditions.

Jonathan lived to reinforce these old, brutal rituals and habits, keeping The Tally and ensuring that families paid their generational debts to the Ravensdale lineage.

Jonathan's obsession was vast and perverse: anything beautiful, anything that could scar him, and anything that he could scar. He was a collector of exquisite wounds, both given and received. It didn't matter who the object of beauty was or whose territory it belonged to—if it was pretty, he wanted to own it and wear the cost of that ownership.

Then, he met her: the dancer, the music genius. She possessed an ethereal contrast—innocent when she walked, yet fiery and unbridled when she performed. She was the epitome of the beautiful and the forbidden.

Jonathan became instantly consumed. It was the type of obsession that made him drool every time he looked at her, that had him smiling with manic pleasure every time her sense of morality forced her to reject him, and that flooded his mind with arousal every time he contemplated her destruction.

He used the Aloewera family's resources to systematically ruin her financial stability, creating a spiraling, catastrophic need for money. He engineered the crisis that forced her to make a desperate plea for funds, ensuring that the only solution was to make a debt directly with him.

Then, he claimed her. The price of her financial ruin was servitude. The heavy, unyielding Aegis Collar was locked around her throat, the dark, public metal sealing her as payment. Her beautiful, sensitive body was now his to command, bound by a financial debt she could never repay and a ritualistic possession he would never relinquish.

The Purpose of SKI

power must be inherited, cultivated, and protected.

The Scrutiny began as a way to teach dominance, obedience, and legacy. The Rings and bracelets followed the physical mark of ownership, binding the claimed to a founding heir.

Each generation has upheld the structure, refining it with more secrecy, more control, and more ritual. By now, the outside world sees SKI as an elite, isolated university by the sea. Only the families know the truth:
