The abuse did not break her; it forged her into something deeply and completely unhinged. She wasn't violent in the way Alistair was; her madness was silent, manipulative, and twisting—the quiet, surgical ruin delivered in silk gloves. To the world, she was the sweet, fragile girl who needed protection; to her brother, she was the reason he existed; but to her enemies, she was the reckoning dressed in silk, and they never realized they were ruined until the aftermath.

The Scrutiny began as a way to teach dominance, obedience, and legacy. The Rings and bracelets followed the physical mark of ownership, binding the claimed to a founding heir.

Each generation has upheld the structure, refining it with more secrecy, more control, and more ritual. By now, the outside world sees SKI as an elite, isolated university by the sea. Only the families know the truth:
