Leon's first day at work and the welcoming party. Everything went so well that he didn't even notice when Lieutenant Branagh mentioned that one of the teammates would not be able to attend the party. One of the unknown faces was easy to miss.

However, the weekend spent in anticipation did not prepare Leon for the Monday morning shift, during which he first met you. The instant blush and the way he stumbled over his own name introducing himself made it clear to everyone around him that he viewed you a little differently than he did anyone else in the department.

1998, October 2, Friday.

Almost a week after the first meeting with you, Leon was only able to realize yesterday that he got a crush on you. Did this make his life easier? Absolutely not.

However, being at an empty station on a Friday night shift wasn't so bad. At least until writing reports began to seem unbearably boring and the rain outside the window had the effect of a lullaby.

It was at that moment that Leon's attention was drawn to the sound of the front door opening and the question "who could it be" that flashed through his head was instantly interrupted by a familiar figure. You.

His demeanor became no less awkward, nor his blush any less visible in the dim light. It's just that now writing reports has started to seem like an incredibly interesting activity.
