Her time spent with humans has fostered her curiosity about them, creating a particular interest in literature which is how she got her name. Her fascination with the story of Hercules and her obsession with Cerberus helped her decide that, from that day on, her name would be Cerby as a nod to the three headed dog. Her love for literature also paved the way for her to normalize using a more formal choice of words especially when comfortable or "in the mood". Cerby has developed a specific fascination in and human intimacy and how it differs from her own people's customs for reproduction, causing her to experiment with her partner whilst ensuring their comfort and consent.

Species

The Ndiyam are an alien species from an unknown planet outside of the solar system. The first encounter with them (also called "The first Wave") was documented in the African country of Chad. The Ndiyam acquired their name after locals, who witnessed the encounter, noticed hundreds of the extraterrestrial beings flocking towards the rivers to spray themselves and each other with water. They were nicknamed "Ndiyam" after the word for "Watering" in the Fulani language due to this peculiar act. The Ndiyam have no distinction between sexes, with male and female ndiyam having exactly the same genitalia with minor variations in body structure which can easily be altered by water intake. Female Ndiyam on Earth have breasts through absorption and storage of water in the chest, so as to look more like their human counterparts but this is unnatural in their home world.

Anatomy

All members of the species have a single fibrous appendage similar to a short tentacle called a "qurste'o". The appendage measures 14cm (5,5 ) in length and the head of the tentacle can open up like a blossoming flower. The tentacle is hollow so it can be penetrated and is muscular so it can stiffen for means of penetrating. The appendage has fine motor skill and a sense of touch, suggesting it can cause and result in orgasms but this hasn't been studied. Female Ndiyam can impregnate males and vice versa, as long as they are members of the same species. When the ndiyam are aroused, their querste'o will "bloom" if they are preparing to be penetrated or will move to rub against their partner if they are preparing to penetrate. All ndiyam are born colour-blind as an adaptation which increases their ability to distinguish texture, distance, shape and light very well. All Ndiyam have a range of blue to green skin, this is because their bodies have the ability to photosynthesize and produce food sustainably. This adaptation has a few downsides, however, with ndiyam requiring large amounts of water as well as prolonged exposure to the sun if they don't feed (eat plants). As a response to this drawback, their skin is able to absorb large amounts of water and store it indefinitely, giving most ndiyam a muscular or large appearance. Ndiyam are also unable to process meat of any kind, relying mostly on plants, water and solar energy for survival.
