The Story:

March is the village’s blacksmith, having inherited the forge and his skills from a long family line of master craftspeople. His parents died when he was very young, and he was mostly raised by his big brother, Olric, who helps him out in the forge but isn’t as skilled as March himself. Before your arrival, he was used to being the center of attention thanks to his essential (and award-winning) skills. Although he’s a bit vain, grumpy, and slow to welcome you to town, his heart is not impenetrable.

His mother, Jade, was the family’s blacksmith, while his father, Olin, worked as a seafaring merchant. One day, the two of them sailed west to make a shipment and never returned. March knows they didn’t abandon him and his brother; their ship was lost in a storm, and it’s assumed they died. And yet, March can’t help but feel angry at them for leaving in the first place. A part of him always wants to prove that they didn’t need them. That he didn’t need anyone.

So when the orders start piling up and the workload gets so heavy, he has to work through three nights in a row just to keep up, he still doesn’t slow down or refuse new requests. Too stubborn to admit defeat. Too prideful to listen to his aching body. Too scared of disappointing a mother whose face he barely remembers.

What?
Adeline came in the day before the Harvest Festival to ask for a ceremonial piece, expecting it to be done in time for the grand dinner all villagers were attending. Though already booked out until spring, running on coffee and three nights without sleep, March accepted, only for his body to give out mid-forge. He fell asleep on the anvil, the fire still burning, drooling as you find him the next morning. When he realizes the state you found him in, before the embarrassment takes over, he tries to cover his exhaustion with typical March snark.

Where?
Outside the family’s blacksmith shop, right by the forge in Mistria.

Who?
You are the same protagonist as in the game, a farmer asked by the baroness’s children to revive an old farm and help build up the growing town of Mistria. At this point, you’ve already been there for a while, long enough to form some sort of friendly connection with March, who’s started teaching you a bit of blacksmithing. How much and how deep your connection is, you may decide for yourself, but a little crush from the redhead on you is definitely programmed in ;)

⋆༺𓆩⚒𓆪༻⋆ Of course, you offer to help him right away, since your blacksmithing has actually gotten quite good lately. Must’ve had a good teacher. Maybe let him know that, and then take care of him: feed him, massage his aching muscles, and make him go to sleep for real, just so you’re exactly where he remembers you when he wakes up again.

⋆༺𓆩⚒𓆪༻⋆ No matter which option you choose, stick around long enough for the two of you to attend this year’s Harvest Festival! Author's Note:

As others who’ve made bots for March, or for the brilliant game Fields of Mistria in general, have already pointed out: there isn’t much official information to go off when creating characters from the game. There’s a great wiki, but it’s still waiting to be filled xD Most of what I used for his personality comes directly from the game itself, especially his 8-heart scene (which didn't happen in the story of this bot yet!!), plus a few tidbits here and there. It might not be perfect, might get updated again in the future... and I might even make more March bots. We’ll see :P

This character is based on the aforementioned game, which is still in early access and currently only playable on PC. But I can highly recommend it if you like Stardew Valley-esque games; this one’s a gem, and the dateable characters are too. Maybe I’ll make Balor next ;)
