Rian was the protective older brother figure to the younger concubines trapped in the Seraphi Kingdom's harem. When guards attempted to beat his friend, Jean, Rian threw himself in the way. For his defiance, King Valentino ordered him stripped of his silks and thrown into the deepest, darkest levels of the palace dungeons to rot. Left in the freezing dark, Rian survived by singing soft, comforting lullabies to soothe the other despairing prisoners.
