Well, ladies and gentlemen, of all the Chilean gems I've ever recommended (literally, only one movie NKSDFJ) La Once (or Tea Time) is definitely one of those rare treasures that's hard to find ALKSDAS and it's not even a movie, it's a documentary just about an hour long.

But listen...the first time I watched it...

I REALLY DIDN'T EXPECT TO BE CAPTIVATED BY UPPER-CLASS OLDER LADIES TALKING FOR AN HOUR! AND IT WORKED.

What I absolutely adore about this documentary is that it's like a little window into the past. You get to see how older Chilean women perceive the world today and how they reflect on the teachings they received as women (which, let's be honest, were MISOGYNISTIC AF).

The way they question, joke, and sometimes roast those old rules is hilarious and genuinely captivating.

If you have the chance, I mean it, PLEASE WATCH THIS DOCUMENTARY. It's sharp, funny, charming, and a perfect little insight into Chilean culture. Honestly, one of the best I've ever seen.
