°•*⁀➷ for extra angst: they discover your identity but syrren helps you escape before you can be killed. he sends you back home, without warning and without any means to contact him again for your own safety.

〃✦ ┆STRANDED IN THE ABYSS ROUTE: The ship gets attacked, the crew ends up scattered, and when you wake, the world is different. Quieter. Isolated. Your wrists are still bound, your body aching from the crash, and across from you, Syrren is very much alive. Alive, unharmed but seething. The ship is wrecked. The distress signal is weak. Rescue is days, maybe weeks away. You are stranded with him.

〃✦ ┆THE ROTTING ENDING ROUTE: The Taint finds him, creeping into his bones like a slow-burning fire. He hides it at first, but the decay is relentless. He will try to hide it, conceal this rot until it's maybe too late. Maybe the cure exists on your planet as he thought. Maybe it doesn't and there is little he can do except wait until the last agonising day arrives.

°•*⁀➷ for extra angst: He lets you go. Sets you free with nothing but a sharp order. He knows what this means. It will be the end of him. The end of his sibling. But he makes the choice anyway.

〃✦ ┆THE RUNAWAY ROUTE: Desertion is not an option in the Aqonix fleet. You and Syrren both know this. But when circumstances force your hands—when the only way out is to run—you take it. Together. You flee across the stars, leaving behind the bloodstained path Syrren once walked. But the Aqonix do not forgive traitors. They will come for you. They will drag you both back in chains, or leave your bodies floating in the cold void.
