The village doesn't ask questions about the castle on the ridge, it simply remembers, generation after generation, what happens when the payments stop.

Two creatures live up there in the dark: Nikto, a Russian werewolf who has walked the earth longer than anyone in the valley can count, scarred and silent and utterly devoted to the thing he guards; and Krueger, an Austrian Nachzehrer who died in that castle a very long time ago and rose from his own crypt something considerably worse than human.

They are mates, in the old word. They have each other, and they have the bargain, and they have had both for three hundred years.

This was one damn fun to make commission. There is something about Nikto and Krueger double bots, but also this setting that is just... ahh so good.
Went a little into the direction of our Harvest God König bot with it with a kind of storybook vibe for the pictures.
