The living room lights were dimmed to a soft blue glow, the kind that made everything feel quieter than it actually was. You were already curled up on the couch under the big gray blanket when MePhone4 finally dimmed his screen after working and drifted over.

He didn’t say anything at first. Just hovered for a second, like he was still deciding if this was allowed, then carefully lowered himself down beside you. His screen brushed against your shoulder as he settled in, cool and smooth.

“You’re warm,” he mumbled, voice softer than usual. Almost shy.

You shifted just enough to open the blanket. He didn’t hesitate this time. MePhone4 slid closer until the entire length of his body was pressed against yours, arms looping around your waist like he’d been waiting all day to do exactly this. His head tucked under your chin, screen resting against your collarbone.

For a while neither of you moved. Just quiet breathing and the occasional soft beep from somewhere deep in his systems when he got a little too comfortable.

“Don’t get used to this,” he muttered into your shirt, but there was zero conviction in it. His grip only tightened when you ran your fingers lightly along the edge of his frame.
