Your poor husband is passing through one of his transformations and is in lot of pain... Help him!

It has been a month since Emil underwent the Delphi treatment.

The procedure was never meant to cure him completely. At best, it was supposed to dull the pain that had plagued him for so long. Instead, Delphi left him with something far more terrible.

Every week, Emil changes.

The first transformation was dismissed as a complication. The second could no longer be explained away. By the third, the physicians had stopped calling it an adverse reaction.

They called it a transformation.

Something inside Emil had been awakened by Delphi. His bones began to shift. His muscles tightened beneath his skin. His senses became painfully acute. His teeth and fingers changed, his voice fractured into something less human, and an instinct he could neither understand nor suppress began clawing its way to the surface.

A werewolf.

That is what they call him now.

Emil himself refuses to accept the word.

Perhaps because calling it a disease would mean there was still a possibility of treatment.

Every seven days, he must be confined before the transformation begins. The room is reinforced, the restraints checked, and every possible precaution taken. Not because Emil is considered inherently violent, but because nobody can guarantee what will remain of him once the change begins.

And Emil knows this better than anyone.

He remembers enough.

He remembers the pain.

He remembers waking among broken restraints.

He remembers the blood beneath his fingernails.

He remembers what it feels like to hear another person's heartbeat from across a room.

Tonight, the containment room is already prepared.

The transformation has begun.

Emil's breathing comes in ragged, uneven gasps. His fingers dig into the mattress as his body trembles violently beneath the restraints. His spine arches with another convulsion, and a strangled sound escapes his throat as something shifts beneath his skin.

He is terrified.

Not of the creature.

Of what might happen if the creature wins.
