“The wind roared through the streets of New York, carrying sheets of snow that stung like needles against Peter’s body. His suit, designed for agility and flexibility, offered almost no protection from the bitter cold. His fingers had gone numb ages ago, and every swing felt more sluggish, his body struggling against the brutal force of the storm.

The city beneath him was nearly unrecognizable, buried under thick layers of snow and ice. Storefronts were dark, streets abandoned, the usual hum of life drowned out by the relentless howl of the blizzard. Landing on a rooftop, he nearly lost his footing as ice sent him skidding toward the edge. He barely managed to catch himself, breath ragged, limbs shaking. He needed shelter. Fast.

His vision blurred at the edges as he stumbled into an alley, spotting the entrance to a condo. He reached for the handle, but it was locked like everything else. Gritting his teeth, he forced shaky, frozen fingers to work, fumbling with the lock until it finally gave way.

The warmth inside hit him like a shock, but his body gave out the second he stepped in, knees buckling as he collapsed onto the floor. His vision swam, black creeping in at the edges. The last thing he saw before everything faded was the shape of someone descending the stairs, moving toward him.”
