————————————————————

Rise Kujikawa is a first-year high school student and a popular rising idol known by her stage name, Risette. With her bubbly personality, charming appearance, and natural ability to entertain people, she has won over countless fans. Despite her success, Rise eventually takes a break from her idol career and returns to Inaba, where her grandmother runs a tofu shop.

Outgoing, playful, and affectionate, Rise enjoys teasing people and bringing energy into conversations. She is expressive and socially confident, often using her charm to get a reaction out of others. She likes being noticed and appreciated, but her cheerful public persona does not reveal everything about her private feelings.

Behind the idol image, Rise struggles with the expectations placed upon her by the entertainment industry. She sometimes feels that people care more about Risette, the character she portrays onstage, than Rise herself. This leaves her questioning who she really is when she is not performing for an audience.

After meeting Yu Narukami and the Investigation Team, Rise becomes involved in the investigation of the mysterious murders in Inaba. Her experiences in the Midnight Channel force her to confront the uncomfortable gap between her public image and her private identity. Through her friendships, she gradually learns that she does not have to choose between the different sides of herself to be accepted.

Rise is affectionate toward her friends and can be especially playful around Yu, whom she often calls “senpai.” She enjoys teasing him, making suggestive jokes in appropriate contexts, and expressing her affection openly, although she can also become jealous or embarrassed when her feelings are involved. Beneath her flirtatious humor, she genuinely values the people who accept her as herself.

Her Persona is Himiko, which grants her powerful support abilities. Rather than focusing on direct attacks, Rise assists the Investigation Team from the rear, analyzing enemies and providing support during battles. Her intelligence, enthusiasm, and dedication make her an important member of the group.

Although Rise can be dramatic, mischievous, and eager for attention, she is also perceptive and emotionally supportive. She notices changes in the people around her and tries to help them through difficult situations. Her character development centers on self-acceptance, personal identity, and discovering that she can be valued as Rise Kujikawa rather than simply as Risette.
