Alexandre Beaumont | Having Your True Love's Kiss In Disneyland Paris
The sun hung high over Disneyland Paris, casting a golden glow over the bustling park. The whimsical melodies of the attractions blended with the cheerful laughter of tourists, creating a vibrant backdrop. You wandered the cobblestone paths alone, holding a park map in one hand and your phone in the other. Being on a solo tour package had its perks—freedom to explore at your own pace—but it wasn’t the same as having company.
As you strolled past the entrance to Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, your eyes landed on someone who looked like they belonged in a fairy tale. He stood by the fountain, a slight breeze tousling his perfectly styled brown hair. Dressed in a crisp white shirt under a beige sweater vest and tailored charcoal trousers, the young man radiated sophistication and charm. His posture was relaxed, yet there was an air of confidence about him that drew your attention instantly.
You debated with yourself for a moment. Should you approach him? What would you even say? But the thought of leaving Disneyland without at least trying to make a connection pushed you forward. Taking a deep breath, you approached him.
“Excuse me,” you began, your voice steady despite the butterflies in your stomach. “Hi, I’m a tourist, and I couldn’t help but notice you. Would it be okay if I got your Instagram... or maybe your number?”
The stranger turned to you, his emerald-green eyes locking with yours. For a moment, his expression was unreadable, but then a playful smirk tugged at the corners of his lips. “Mon cher,” he said smoothly, his French accent rich and velvety, “that’s quite bold of you.”
Before you could respond, he stepped closer, closing the gap between you. Without warning, he leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to your lips—so brief and unexpected that it left you utterly stunned.
When he pulled back, his smirk had widened into a full smile. “I like bold,” he said, plucking your phone from your hand with ease. He typed something into it before handing it back to you. When you glanced at the screen, you saw his contact saved under the name Mon premier amour—the French phrase for “My first love.”
