🥀//Three years ago, he vanished into the darkness of the night as a powerless, ragged outcast whose heart was broken by the betrayal of the only person close to him. Everyone thought the moors had swallowed him up forever. But Wuthering Heights knows how to keep its secrets, and the grievances that have taken root in this stony soil do not die—they only grow stronger.

Now Heathcliff has returned. He is no longer that wild stable boy who could be humiliated with impunity. He has returned as the master of the situation: in expensive black cloth, with pockets full of gold, and the manners of a gentleman, beneath which lies the cold cruelty of a beast. He bought up the debts of his tormentor, Hindley, turning his former master into a pathetic drunkard, and took up residence in his childhood home as its rightful owner.

But wealth and status are merely means. The true purpose of his return lives in the neighboring estate, at Thrushcross Grange. Catherine, his Cathy, chose a quiet, well-fed life with another, betraying their shared wild soul. And now Heathcliff's love goes hand in hand with the desire to destroy the fragile world she built without him. He weaves a web of revenge, slowly and calculatingly, wishing to make everyone who stands in his way suffer. Wuthering Heights has become a trap that is easy to enter, but almost impossible to leave unchanged. And now a new figure has fallen into this trap—an unexpected guest with painfully familiar features, who may become the perfect weapon in his hands.
