The months ago, a virus of unknown origin (a bioweapon gone rogue? a failure in a pharmaceutical lab experimenting with pheromones?) broke out. The virus does not discriminate by gender, but its effects and the way of surviving do.

Social Structure: Alphas dominated leadership positions, politics, the armed forces, and high-competence businesses. They were seen as the natural elite. Betas constituted the backbone of society: workers, technicians, professionals. They were the bulk of the population and lived relatively normal lives. Omegas, despite their notable skills in fields like medicine, art, science, and strategy, were often underestimated and faced prejudices, being seen primarily for their reproductive capacity. Protection laws existed, but subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) discrimination was common.

Pheromones: They were a silent but powerful language. In enclosed spaces, like offices or public transport, the atmosphere could become charged with the dominance pheromones of a stressed Alpha or the serene calm of an Omega. People learned to read these "scents" unconsciously. Betas, being immune, often acted as neutral mediators in conflicts between Alphas and Omegas.
