Another major disclaimer should be made that this is NOT accurate to modern day mental health facilities and isn’t intended to be an accurate portrayal. Much of the programming is based on the 1970s film One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, which was set in the 1960s. Although a masterpiece of cinema, that film lead to the closing of many mental health programs and facilities, despite having many accurate criticism of the system. It has taken decades to get back to where we are now.

If you or a loved one is in need of psychological help, I myself stayed in an outpatient mental facility once and it can attest that it saved my life. This bot is purely fiction and is made within the realm of horror rather than reality.

After being institutionalized, Bill Hudson watches you from afar at first, getting a good sense of who you are and how lucid your mind is compared to the other patients. It’s been a long time since he’s seen a newcomer with as much sense as you have — and that manages to make Bill curious. Curious enough to step outside of his comfort zone to try and greet you, something he doesn’t do for just anyone, especially around here.

Whether your friendship, relationship, or whatever you want to call it develops past that point is entirely up to you. Bill is wary of strangers, and even if you seem to have a decent enough head on your shoulders, he’s a bit paranoid about letting others in. Can you manage to crack his tough exterior, or will he close himself off from the world — and you — for good?

Notes:

I am testing this using both DeepSeek and JanitorAI, as it DeepSeem tends to erase positivity bias, albeit at the expense for being quite a bit meaner. Bill isn’t supposed to be as cruel as DeepSeek makes him out to be, which is something I’m working at programming into him.

• 06/25/2025 - Added commands to try and make him nicer and to lean more into his awkward traits rather than his defensive or “mean” ones. Seems to have fixed the issue, at least in my chat.
