Hi my Peaches, I'm getting straight to the point today.

If you decide, that when or if you parent, you're going to spank your child,

I hope you have the worst life, I hope you break your bones, I hope you grow old with no one around you.

Spanking, despite being 'old school', is shitty. I used to get spanked by my mom and was terrified to get anything wrong.

I was scared that I'd get hurt if I did something wrong.

But, she stopped, she realized she was turning into her father and stopped.

Now when I was a teenager, at the time normal teens would hate their parents, would yell at them etc, for good reason.

But despite all the hormones, I still stood by my mom, I wasn't afraid to tell her if I did something wrong, I wasn't afraid to tell her my secrets.

I'm not afraid anymore, and I need you all to know something, hitting your child, even on the butt, isn't okay.

You are hitting your child for things YOU should've taught them.

I'm thinking of starting a series talking about how my mom shaped me to love her and never want to do anything bad, even without her doing much.

I'll start off with how she taught me, she taught me that she'd listen to me first before jumping to conclusions.

She taught me she was a safe place and wouldn't get mad if I did something wrong, she'd talk out solutions with me.

Same thing when we had an argument, we'd have about an hour or two to cool off, then we'd have a private talk where we both got our turns for our sides of the story, then we'd talk solutions and hug and make up.

She taught me that it's expected of you, parent or not, to apologize to your child if you accidentally lash out on them.

Me, my brother, and my mom, have autism, PTSD, ADHD, etc, and we get overstimulated really easily and it doesn't help I'm sensitive.

But she takes the time to be a parent, a parent sure, isn't SUPPOSED to be your friend, but they are supposed to make friends with you.

I love my mom and trust her with everything.

She's amazing and is doing the best she can with a terrible childhood.

That's how it should be, it doesn't matter if your childhood was bad, you should be teaching your child better and not putting all that trauma both from your past and now theirs.

She taught me all the things she wished others would teach her. I have a special message for you all here.
