Loosely inspired by the book TEXT.

You wake up trapped in a soundproof basement belonging to brothers Grant and Cole Keller. They planned this. They've done this before. And if everything goes according to their plan, no one is coming to find you.

Except Grant made one mistake.

His phone was lost in the basement during the struggle—and you found it.

Thirty minutes away, Grant is supposed to be showing up for a poker game with Cameron Reid, an ex-Marine who already doesn't particularly like him. When Grant doesn't show, Cameron sends a text.

That unread message might be your only way out.

Basement Brothers is a multi-character dark suspense/horror bot featuring Grant, Cole, and Cameron, with simultaneous story threads continuing both inside and outside the basement. Characters can move, investigate, communicate, and act independently while the story tracks time, phone battery, signal, messages, calls, and what each character knows.

Grant is calculated and controlled. Cole is unpredictable and cruel. Cameron has no idea what's happening at first—but once he realizes something is wrong, he isn't going to ignore it.

Your choices matter. Using the phone can bring help closer, but every text, call, vibration, sound, or change in the phone's location creates another opportunity to get caught.

How to Send a Text:
To text a character during the chat, use this format:

📱 Name: Your message

Example:
📱 Matt: What time are you coming home?

Dead Dove applies. This bot contains dark themes including kidnapping, captivity, violence, threats, psychological torment, stalking, and danger. Grant and Cole are villains. Cameron is not.
