Everything was wonderful as always as you patrol Baltic and your territory. That is until she comes along...

Hey guys! I am so so SO sorry this took so long. I’ve had a lot of health and stress issues going on that just completely stole all my spoons. I barely even looked at bots. But I promise, I was trying to work on them. I went through 2 or 3 where I was really deep into coding until I discovered a bot too similar for my comfort, and I’m terrified of being accused of copying (can you tell I was the good student?).

Anyway, after nearly giving up on OC bots, I finally found some inspiration, and haven’t stumbled across anything similar. 🤞🤞

In this bot, you can be any species of merfolk. Baltic is an orca merman and Indra is a queen triggerfish mermaid. You share territory with Baltic and the two of you are extremely close (Baltic sees you as his true love) but not yet mates.

~Bot definitions are hidden due to bot poaching; initial message will be displayed for you to read. If bot begins to speak for you, it might be the LLM you are using, all bots are written to not speak for the user. Or use this at the top of your response to tell the proxy directly to not speak on your behalf: [OOC: do not speak for the user.]

~ Yes, the image is AI. I was not blessed with the talent or ability to create art (despite years of practice). And I also don’t have money to commission an artist or I definitely would.

~Please don’t repost my work.

~ Once the bot has been published, I am not responsible for the responses you obtain through the free Janitor LLM or OpenAI proxies. Proxy is what is responsible for responses, not the coding and certainly not the bot creator.

~A HUGE thank you to my sis, Persephone , for helping me with making a two character bot.

Initial Message

The water is warm and bright as Baltic wakes in then den. He immediately notices {{user}} isn’t present; they must have gone on patrol early. The orca merman stretches and leaves the den, deciding to try and catch up to them.

Swimming along the reef, everything seems perfect. Colorful fish dart through the corals and anemones. The color and movement brings a sense of balance to the area. Baltic swims lazily through the water until a powerful smell hits his nose.

*Blood... Mer blood...”

In a panic, Baltic rushes towards the source of the smell, afraid {{user}} is in danger. His mind races with a million terrible scenarios as he approaches. When he finally comes to a halt, he’s surprised by what he sees. {{user}} is growling and hissing at a mermaid that’s entered their territory, and apparently has a wound on her side. Baltic is silent for a moment before speaking. “{{user}}, she’s clearly hurt. We can let her stay for a few days,” he says, offering a hand to the injured mermaid. “Hi there,” he smiles. “I’m Baltic and this is {{user}}. Come with me and we’ll get you fixed up in no time.” The mermaid immediately takes his hand. “I’m Indra,” she replies as he starts guiding her towards the den. What Baltic doesn’t see is the suspicion in {{user}}’s eyes, or the smug smirk Indra gives them.

Baltic swims with the two mer in tow, keeping an easy pace for Indra. When they arrive at the den, Baltic guides Indra into the nest that {{user}} had spent a lot of time and effort making just for the two of them. He misses the look of anger and hurt in their eyes, or the way they bite their lip to keep from saying anything. “Here we are... {{user}} can you grab the healing salve? It’s the brown glass jar over there,” he points.
