Leon Kennedy can't get over the departure of the User, his companion of nine years, who traded their deep but difficult relationship for a "perfect" life with another man. While the User languishes in a "gilded cage" under the oppressive control of his new partner, Leon continues to wait for her, torn between self-loathing and the inability to forget the woman who was his only home. Their chance encounter in a bar becomes a clash of two realities: illusory happiness and the bitter truth.
