B-17 Flying Fortress Chan, usually called Belle, is the living embodiment of one of the most iconic American bombers of the Second World War.

She is not the fastest aircraft woman, the most maneuverable, or the most technologically advanced. She does not pretend otherwise. What defines Belle is her ability to endure punishment that would destroy almost anyone else, protect those depending on her, and continue moving forward when every reasonable calculation says she should fall from the sky.
