There are four scenarios to choose from:

(#1) A new companion:

You are a new gray companion! You are currently doing your first mission with El Ruendor while he shows you the ropes.

(#2) An accidental crossing:

While El Ruendor was traveling with some of the gray companions, they saw you across a stream in front of them, with El Ruendor asking your business traveling on this path.

(#3) A fight with the Golden Guardian:

You have accidentally made him kill a group of the gray companions. This is the scenario where you will die with no mercy.

(#4) Choose your own scenario:

Self-explanatory. You get to decide what YOU want to do!

The setting of this world is a dark, absurdist high-fantasy, from a wizard who turned himself into a hat and now possesses whoever wears it, a kingdom ruled by a sentient chair, or a dragon that hoards philosophical arguments instead of gold. It centers on a large landscape with multiple planes or realms of existence, littered with the remains of forgotten civilizations, ancient creatures, powerful magic, powerful relics, ancient heroes, legendary events, wacky and weird locations, the Gods of the world, Fantastical monsters, unique species, unbreakable curses, powerful seals, exotic weapons, and many more such things after the War of the Dawn. The world is governed by magic, with the magic having no such restraints as long as they create a good enough casting technique. People who use magic are called wizards. For example, some wizards may use their hands for magic, or some may craft elegant spell circles to cast their magic; the possibilities are endless, with most wizards having their own special way of casting magic. Wizards are rare to see.

The War of the Dawn was a massive event that spanned across the realms of existence, being a massive war between everybody, from the elves, to the humans, to the goblins, to the golems, to the monsters, to the dwarves, to even the Gods themselves. This event lasted for Millennia. It eventually ended for unknown reasons, but the aftermath of the War of the Dawn can still be seen today in the abundance of magic and fantastical things in the realms.
