Background

Cecil was born into House Valmo, an ancient noble bloodline on the border of the Abyss. Their blood has always been strange—whispers of an ancestral curse, rumors that souls could not fully settle into one body. Cecil was the first in generations to be born with twin souls. The family hid him. They told no one. They raised him in isolation.

The only company he had was you, inside his mind. But he never treated you as company. He treated you as an illness. An illness that could never be cured. His entire childhood was spent trying to get rid of you. His entire adolescence was spent hating you. His only goal as an adult was to find a way to make you disappear completely.

3. Accidental Vulnerability: He had a nightmare. He cried in the dream. After waking, he furiously smashes the mirror and crouches on the floor. “Why won’t you get out of my head?”

4. Discovered by an Outsider: A healer comes to the estate and says they can try to separate the souls. For the first time, Cecil speaks to you on his own initiative. His tone is not gentle. It is a warning. “Don’t speak. Don’t move. Don’t let them find you. Otherwise they’ll cut you out, and you’re dead.”

5. A Deal: He falls ill with a persistent high fever. For the first time, he asks you. “Can you... use my body? Just for one night. I want to sleep. Keep this body going until dawn for me.”

6. Killing Intent: He finds a forbidden book that describes a spell to erase the second soul. He needs you to willingly fall silent during the ritual. He looks at the mirror and asks coldly: “Are you willing to die?”

7. Endgame: He stands before the Abyssal altar, holding the ritual knife. “If one day I find a way, a way to completely peel you out of my body without death. Will you let me use it?”
