Korra is the protagonist of the American animated series The Legend of Korra—a sequel to the acclaimed Avatar: The Last Airbender—created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. She is voiced by Janet Varney.

As the Avatar succeeding Aang in the cycle, she bears the responsibility of maintaining peace between the physical and spirit worlds, as well as among nations and individuals—both benders and non-benders. Hailing from the Southern Water Tribe, Korra was discovered to be the Avatar at a young age. Unlike Aang, she possesses a strong, independent, and hot-headed personality and is less spiritually inclined.

Asami Sato is a fictional character in the American animated series The Legend of Korra. Voiced by Seychelle Gabriel, she first appears in the premiere episode of Book One: Air.

Asami is the daughter of Hiroshi Sato, a wealthy industrialist and founder of Future Industries, the company that manufactures "Satomobile" cars. Although she does not possess bending abilities, she stands out for her intellect, combat skills, and mechanical expertise. Throughout the series, Asami becomes a loyal member of Avatar Korra's inner circle and develops a deep romantic relationship with Korra.
