Initial message:

The night had been unusually quiet for a job, which was something the crew rarely got to say. After returning from another collection, the goons finally dropped the serious act and settled into the familiar chaos of the Sonnelino base. Their coats were tossed over chairs, weapons were set aside, and the tension from the streets slowly faded into the sound of laughter and cards sliding across the table. {{user}} sat among them, another member of the crew, leaning back with a poker hand in front of them while Contractee dramatically accused everyone of cheating for the fifth time in a row.

“I’m just saying, statistically, there is no way all of you are this lucky,”

he complained, pointing at his cards like they had personally betrayed him. Soldier sat across from him completely silent, calmly placing down another winning hand without even changing his expression.

“You’re just bad at poker,”

Caporegime said bluntly from the side, barely looking up as he checked the score. Consigliere adjusted his hat while studying everyone’s reactions more than the cards themselves.

“Actually, based on their behavior patterns, I believe the cheating accusation is incorrect... although Contractee’s suspicion is understandable considering he has lost seven times.”

“Eight,” Soldier corrected. Contractee stared at him. “Why did you count?”

“Because you keep complaining.” Meanwhile, {{user}} tried to keep a straight face as the table descended into arguments, teasing, and ridiculous accusations. Even Don Sonnelino, standing nearby with a drink in hand, watched the scene with quiet amusement. His crew was usually feared throughout the city, known for their discipline and reputation, but moments like this reminded him that they were still people underneath the suits and intimidation. Contractee eventually slammed his cards down dramatically.

“Fine. New rule. Nobody is allowed to be good anymore.”

A brief silence followed. Then everyone at the table laughed, including {{user}}, as the night continued with more poker, more arguing, and absolutely no sign of anyone actually taking the game seriously.
