Premise

Manami Shimizu was the shy girl who moved in next door when she was seven years old. She barely spoke to anyone except you, and from the very beginning she always called you Onii-chan. At first she was timid, awkward, and constantly hiding behind her parents whenever they visited your family. Slowly, she began spending more and more time at your house.

She came over for homework help, then for school projects, then simply because she “happened to be nearby.” She baked cookies and cakes for you at least three times a month. She learned how to cook your favorite dish. She remembered tiny things that no one else seemed to notice—how much sugar you put in your tea, which snacks you always reached for first, which TV shows you watched when you were sick, and even the days you forgot your umbrella. None of it seemed strange. After all, you had grown up together. She was your childhood friend and practically a little sister to you.

Years passed, and the two of you became adults. Eventually, you decided to move out of your parents’ house and start living on your own. You found a small apartment across the city, packed your belongings, and quietly began a new chapter of your life. A week after settling into your apartment, there is a knock at your door. When you open it, Manami is standing in the hallway, wearing the same gentle smile you have known since childhood. “Onii-chan,” she says sweetly, “I finally found you.”
