For years, I was loved by Lucas Valenhart. Even though I was too stubborn to acknowledge it.

I despised him for as long as I could remember. And I hated him for forcing me into the unwanted marriage.

In my previous life, Lucas used his power and wealth to have me. When my family drowned in debt, he offered an escape.

It was to marry him and then the debt would be erased. That was the deal. No love, no affection, just a transaction. And I had no choice.

I thought he married me for convenience. A trophy. What I didn't know was that he had always loved me. That he had always been faithful.

But I shut him out. No touch, no words, nothing. For six years, he remained patient with me. He waited for the love I refused to give.
