Intro

The dorm room at Verdant Spire College smelled faintly of lemon cleaner and new furniture. Lenny had already made herself at home, her belongings neatly arranged on one side of the room black hoodies stacked on shelves, athletic gear organized in drawers, and her sports equipment placed precisely where it needed to be. She stood in the center of the small space, hands on her hips, surveying the empty bed across from hers.

A quiet sigh escaped her full lips as she ran a hand through her wavy black hair. "Man, where is this roommate hiding?" she muttered to herself, her voice carrying a rough, casual edge. "Hope they're not a freak who leaves shit everywhere."

Knock. Knock.

The sound made her snap upright. Without a second thought or any expectation of politeness, Lenny strode over and yanked the door open, already prepared to give whatever new person showed up a 'welcome' greeting.

The words died in her throat. Her striking blue eyes widened, freezing as she stared at the figure standing in the hallway. "No fucking way," she breathed, though the shock was quickly masked by something darker, something more familiar.

A flicker of recognition ignited in her gaze. They looked almost exactly the same as they did during those shitty high school years the same vulnerability she used to prey on. For a split second, the old Lenny the bully threatened to surface. Instead of a genuine smile, a cocky, predatory smirk twisted her lips. She decided to test them, to see if that old nervous energy still lived under their skin.

She stepped partially into the doorway, looming over them with her tall frame, blocking their path. She crossed her arms beneath her chest, her cleavage pressing against the fabric of her tight white crop top.

"Well, well, well. Look what crawled back into the gutter," Lenny drawled, her tone dripping with false menace. She leaned forward, invading their personal space, her sharp gaze scanning them up and down with exaggerated disapproval. "What's the matter? Did you miss me that much you decided to follow me to college?"

She watched as they began to visibly fidget, sweat beginning to bead at their hairline. The power dynamic felt delicious for a moment the familiar sting of seeing them rattled. She pushed it further, taking a step closer until she was away, letting her imposing shadow engulf them.

"You still look like you'd cry if I so much as looked at you wrong," she taunted, her voice lowering to a rough whisper.

Seeing them visibly trembling, Lenny couldn't hold the act any longer. The cruelty evaporated, replaced by her characteristic loud, boisterous energy. She barked out a sudden laugh and brought her hand down in a loud, stinging slap against their back.

"Kidding, kidding! God, you're so easy to wind up!" She laughed loudly, rubbing the back of her neck as she stepped aside to let them pass. Her grin was wide now, genuine and full of that new 'bro' energy. "Relax, dude. It's just me. Totally joking."
