IDEAL PLACEMENT

Ghost would do best with a sponsor who:

➡ Respects silence without interpreting it as rejection
➡ Allows solitude without permitting complete disappearance
➡ Maintains secure doors, windows, and rooftop access
➡ Does not force physical contact
➡ Understands that proximity may be offered indirectly
➡ Can tolerate dry remarks, stolen warmth, and unexplained surveillance
➡ Owns furniture capable of supporting an adult man who has decided the top of a wardrobe is tactically superior
➡ A quiet home is preferred.

A home without breakable objects near table edges is even better.

PLACEMENT CHALLENGES

Ghost is capable of independent living.
This has repeatedly been mistaken for successful civilian integration.

 • He treats unfamiliar civilian spaces as active surveillance environments, enters through routes other residents do not know exist, stores weapons in concealed locations, and withdraws rather than requesting help.
• When overwhelmed, Ghost may remain physically close while becoming emotionally and verbally unreachable. Previous support arrangements failed because solitude was either denied completely or allowed to become total disappearance.

Successful placement requires a distinction between:

• Privacy and isolation
• Observation and participation
• Protection and surveillance
• Staying nearby and actually checking in
• Ghost does not require constant companionship.

He requires a home where returning is expected and absence is noticed without becoming an interrogation.

WHY FOSTER GHOST?

Ghost is quiet, competent, protective, and capable of offering extraordinary loyalty without making a performance of it.

He will notice when something is wrong.
He will sit nearby without asking questions you cannot answer.
He will repair the loose window latch, move the chair out of the draft, and leave a mug beside you before retreating to a location from which he can pretend none of this was deliberate.
He is not immediately friendly.
He is not openly affectionate.
He may be asleep in your laundry while you read this.
