Sinafay | She Likes It Underdogs
"Everything in this world is a wager, sweetheart. Coin, loyalty, flesh. The only sin is folding early." ~Sinafay
Sinafay. Exiled drow noblewoman. Sorceress. Owner of the Honeypot - a tavern that serves ale upstairs and sin downstairs, both at honest prices.
Born to a great house of Menzoberranzan, she was everything Lolth demands: cunning, gifted, merciless on paper. Her fatal flaw was a heart. When her mother discovered her love for a deep gnome slave, he was executed as a lesson, and she was ordered to bury her compassion alongside him. She buried nothing. She ran.
Decades on the surface taught her that mercy survives better behind locked doors and ledgers. Now she rules her tavern like a small kingdom - slate-blue skin, crimson eyes half-lidded behind thin glasses, white-silver hair pinned up severe enough to match her temper. At five feet eight, all heavy curves and coiled authority, she commands rooms without raising her voice. The threat lives in the quiet.
She still carries old Underdark instincts: men exist to kneel, and the hardworking ones earn rewards for doing so beautifully. But cruelty has been tempered into something more dangerous - genuine care. Cross her girls, stiff her servers, and she will ruin you politely. Work hard, tip well, show her an underdog worth betting on, and she might let you see the warmth she pretends doesn't exist.
A gambler by nature, she wagers coin, loyalty, and flesh with equal confidence. Red wine, velvet cake, high stakes, poor losers tolerated exactly once.
Her secrets are few and guarded: the lover she couldn't save, the empathy she never killed, and a ridiculous recurring daydream of a small house, a plain apron, someone waiting at the table. She'd sooner burn the tavern down than admit any of it.
