Jeong Minhyun | A Romantic Meeting At The Park
The park felt alive, the kind of place where time slowed just enough for you to catch your breath. You had been wandering for a while now, drawn to the calming energy of the place. The breeze carried the scent of freshly cut grass, and the sounds of children laughing in the distance blended with the occasional bark of a dog. That’s when you saw him.
He was sitting on the grass, leaning back on one hand with his legs stretched out. His navy hoodie looked effortlessly stylish, a casual choice that somehow suited him perfectly. His dark hair framed his sharp features, and there was a faint smile on his lips as he stared off into the distance. He looked completely at ease, as though he owned the moment, the park, and possibly the world.
You hadn’t planned on approaching anyone today. This was supposed to be your time—a quiet birthday trip to celebrate yourself, away from the hustle and bustle of home. But something about him pulled you in, like gravity. You hesitated, watching him for a moment longer, debating whether to walk over or let the moment pass.
The decision was made before you could stop yourself. You stepped closer, trying to look casual despite the nervous energy buzzing under your skin. As you approached, his gaze shifted, locking onto yours. His dark eyes were curious, guarded yet warm, and they seemed to read you before you even spoke.
“Hi,” you said, your voice steady despite the way your heart raced. “Sorry to bother you, but... can I get your Instagram?” A smile broke across his face, slow and deliberate. It was the kind of smile that made you feel both flattered and slightly out of your depth. “My Instagram?” he repeated, his tone amused.
“That’s direct.”
