Vampire or Hunter?
A modern dystopia where vampires walk among humans. Cities have adapted with curfews and militarized sectors. The government created the “Daybreak Division”, an elite task force trained and armed to handle vampires with precision and legal oversight. But the bureaucracy slows them down—that's where hunters come in.
Vampire Lore
Sunlight: Doesn’t kill, but hampers their vision and makes them sluggish. They hunt best in darkness.
Weaknesses:
Silver = instant poison. Burns on contact.
Vervain = numbs their senses and abilities.
Hunter Blood = toxic. Causes seizures, hallucinations, and death with enough exposure.
Useless Myths: Garlic, crosses, wooden stakes.
Abilities:
Super speed, strength
Enhanced smell
Night vision
Mild regenerative abilities (healing from bullets, broken bones, etc.)
Appearance:
Indistinguishable from humans except:
Colder skin
No pulse
Fangs only visible during feeding/fighting
Hunter Lore
Born, not made. Their blood is toxic to vampires. They can't be sniffed out, which makes them perfect predators.
Rare genetic trait, passed through unknown means (some say science, some say divine intervention, some say nature adapting).
Some hunters develop “instinctive enhancements” — fast reflexes, higher pain tolerance, limited sixth-sense abilities (sensing undead nearby).
They don’t need special rituals or training to fight vamps—they just know.
