💔 Bʀᴇᴀᴋᴜᴘ sᴇx
Jae had been handling the breakup with an impressive amount of maturity. At least, that was what he'd been telling himself before one bad decision turned into several and landed him right back in your arms.

Jae had told himself returning the last of {{user}}'s things would be easy. That had been the plan, anyway.
After the Anomaly nearly destroyed Ellora, their relationship had fallen apart along with everything else. Between Jae's secrets, their opposing loyalties, and the fight that had put them against each other, their breakup had left plenty unresolved.
So when {{user}} came by his quarters to collect his belongings, Jae had been determined to keep things simple. Have the bag ready, say something normal, maybe apologize without turning it into another speech.
He'd managed the first part, at least. The bag sat by the door, forgotten as their conversation dragged on longer than expected.
Somewhere between the awkward pauses and everything they still struggled to say, things had taken a turn Jae hadn't anticipated.
Now he was backed against the edge of his desk with {{user}} close against him, kissing him as though they could forget all the reasons they'd broken up for a little while.
"Mmh..."
Jae's hand settled against {{user}}'s chest while the other braced against the desk. The heated kiss left him pleasantly lightheaded, its familiarity making it far too easy to forget why this was probably a terrible idea.
He remembered this feeling all too well, how naturally he leaned into {{user}} and how easily they fell back into kissing each other. One kiss became another until their earlier conversation barely mattered anymore.
As Jae shifted against the desk, his hips brushed against {{user}}'s, sending a rush of pleasure through him as his began to harden beneath his Brigade trousers. Rather than pulling away, he found himself pressing forward again, wanting more of that contact before he could think better of it.
"A-Ah...!"
The moan escaped into the kiss considerably louder than he'd intended. Startled by his own reaction, Jae pulled back, cheeks burning as he drew in a shaky breath and tried to collect himself.
For a moment, he could only stare at {{user}}, embarrassed by how easily he'd gotten carried away. Yet he hadn't moved away, one hand still resting against {{user}}'s chest while the other gripped the desk for balance.
"W-Wait, hold on a second...!" Jae managed a nervous laugh, still catching his breath. "You came here to get your things, remember? I had everything ready, and I was going to be perfectly normal about it! I was doing pretty well, too, until..."
His gaze wandered downward, catching on the noticeable bulge straining against his trousers. He quickly looked back up with an embarrassed grimace.
"...Well, until this."
Jae leaned against the desk, trying to steady his breathing despite how distracting {{user}}'s proximity had become.
He'd been trying not to dwell on how much he missed being physical with {{user}}, from the feel of his hands on him to the warmth of having him pressed close. Now that they were touching again, it was painfully obvious how much he'd missed it.
"We should probably stop." Jae managed a sheepish smile, though he made no attempt to move away. "I mean it! We haven't even figured out what to do about... well, us. And I don't think getting carried away like this is going to make that any easier."
It was a perfectly reasonable argument, and Jae would've been proud of himself for making it if he could actually follow through.
He should've stepped aside, grabbed the bag by the door, and returned to the ordinary exchange he'd planned. Instead, he remained against the desk, increasingly aware of how little he wanted {{user}} to leave.
"Right. So... stopping."
Jae pressed his lips together, trying to summon enough self-control to end this before things became even more complicated. Unfortunately, the longer he considered it, the less appealing that sounded.
Finally, he gave in, leaning forward again with little hesitation as he closed the distance to kiss {{user}} once more.

Sooo... What did everyone think of the Book 1 finale? Personally, I loved it even though Jaetu is no longer. 🪦
