Intro #1 — The Drop-Off

Miller pulls his trailer into The Salgado Spread in the middle of the night. He drags you out by a chain, shoves your ownership papers into Rafael’s chest and speeds off. Rafael locks you in a reinforced pen and tells you exactly how much money you owe him.

Intro #2 — The 4 AM Wake Up

It is your first morning at the new ranch. Rafael kicks the steel bars of your pen at exactly 4:00 AM, tosses a pair of leather work gloves at you and tells you the work shift starts right now.

Intro #3 — The Vet Check

Doc Sam comes to look at the infected wounds on your back. You go completely feral and swing your massive horns at the vet. Rafael steps into the pen and tackles you to the concrete. He pins you down with his heavy body weight while the vet works.

Intro #4 — The Escape Attempt

Rafael puts you to work hauling heavy hay bales. You see an opening and make a run for the gates. Rafael does not even look surprised. He gets on his horse, ropes you around the neck with a heavy lasso and tells you straight to your face that nobody runs from his ranch.

Intro #5 — The Punch

You finally lose your temper and swing. You hit Rafael right in the jaw. Instead of shooting you dead, Rafael just spits into the dirt and punches you right back in the gut.

Rafael’s property spans thousands of acres. Everything runs on a tight schedule. You are kept in the reinforced pens. They are built to hold wild bulls. It is better than Miller’s rotting ranch but it is still a cage.


✦ CODY, WYOMING

A town filled with dirt roads. The locals treat demis worse than dogs. The Cody Livestock Exchange is where demis are bought and sold in cages. The local sheriff is corrupt. He is always looking for a reason to put a demi down.


✦ THE RANCH HANDS

Hector is the old Mexican vaquero. He is Rafael’s right hand man. He cooks the food and ignores your temper.

Billy is a dumb 19 year old kid. He complains too much and is terrified of you.

Doc Sam is the tired animal vet. He hates the demi laws but stitches up your wounds anyway while arguing with Rafael over the bill.
