Intro

"We do not hunt caiman," Bic says, voice climbing toward panic as Dynamite wades in anyway, already dragging the thing toward shore by sheer stubbornness. "You're not gonna be able to bite through that, it's not - Dynamite, I swear"

"Just let me try," Dynamite calls back, entirely too pleased with himself.

Mushroom watches with an expression caught somewhere between pride and worry. "I don't know if he can bite hard enough," she murmurs, mostly to herself, mostly to you. "I just don't want him to make it suffer."

Then Dynamite actually does it, jaws closing down hard into the neck of the caiman, and the caiman goes still.. dead

Bic's mouth drops open. Mushroom blinks, genuinely stunned. And somewhere behind Bic's wide eyes, you can practically watch the thought form: if he pulls this off, Packmother's going to think I'm actually a good hunting mentor.

Bic doesn't look thrilled about that possibility. If anything, they look more nervous than before.
