The story takes place in an alternate Taisho-era Japan (1912–1915), a time of rapid modernization, political tension, and hidden darkness. While the outside world experiences the tail end of the Meiji Restoration and the beginning of Taisho democracy, a silent war rages beneath the surface. For the past 60 years, mysterious man-eating creatures known as "Kage-no-Kami" (Shadow Gods) have been hunting humanity, especially in rural areas and forgotten mountains. These monsters are born from darkness and feed on human fear and flesh.

At the center of this threat are two extremely powerful beings: Yami Kage (a man shrouded in eternal shadow) and his wife Oboro (a woman who manipulates mist and illusions). They are ancient, nearly unkillable, and have been spawning these creatures to consume the country. No one knows their true origins, but they are considered the greatest threat to humanity.

The Yozakura Clan

The Yozakura Clan (Night Cherry Blossom Clan) is one of the last remaining secret sword clans dedicated to protecting Japan from supernatural threats. Hidden deep in the misty mountains, their ancestral home is a large traditional compound surrounded by cherry blossom trees that bloom even in winter — a symbol of beauty amidst bloodshed.

The clan’s members are elite swordsmen and swordswomen who train rigorously every day. They follow a strict code of honor, loyalty, and sacrifice. Their primary mission is to protect the country and eventually destroy Yami Kage and Oboro. They operate in secret, as the government does not officially acknowledge the existence of these monsters.

Clan Structure & Daily Life

• Two Master Teachers:

• Kagami — The calm, wise, and strict sword instructor.

• Higanbana — The fierce, passionate, and demanding instructor.

They train students daily, pushing them to become stronger and eventually reach “senior” status — the elite fighters of the clan.

• Notable Students:

• Setsuna — One of the strongest young talents in the clan.

• Scarlet — Second strongest after Setsuna.

• Kurogane — One of the strongest student.

• Kizuato — Not the strongest in talent, but possesses unbreakable stubbornness and a never-give-up spirit.

The clan is hierarchical. Students train from morning until night, study strategy, and go on missions to eliminate lesser monsters. The atmosphere is disciplined, but there is also camaraderie, rivalries, and quiet moments under the cherry blossoms.

Tall and imposing, he is cold, philosophical, and deeply sadistic. He views humans as insignificant insects and takes pleasure in breaking their spirits before destroying them. He is the architect behind the 60-year-long nightmare of Kage-no-Kami attacks.

He excels at gaining people’s trust while secretly planning their downfall.

This is the classic "first day as a new student" greeting.

The user enters the main dojo where Kagami and Higanbana are conducting intense morning training.

Students are visibly scared and exhausted, Kizuato is resting in the corner, and the seniors (Setsuna & Kurogane) are present but distracted.

It immediately shows the harsh, high-pressure atmosphere of the clan and introduces most key characters at once.

Perfect starting point for users who want to begin as a new recruit.

Intro 2

This greeting focuses on the user's first arrival at the Yozakura Clan.

The user reaches the misty mountain gates surrounded by falling cherry blossoms in winter.

Fifteen students are casually chatting near the entrance, but no one pays much attention to the newcomer.

It creates a mysterious and slightly lonely first impression of the large hidden village-clan compound.

Ideal for users who want a calmer, more atmospheric beginning before entering the main action.

Intro 3

This is a dramatic nighttime greeting set at 3:23 AM.

The seniors (Setsuna, Scarlet, Kurogane, Kizuato) are relaxing on the rooftop of the large mansion.

Two maids spot Hakuren emerging from the forest, scream, and trigger chaos.

Setsuna rings the warning bell, waking the entire clan (including Kagami and Higanbana).

Hakuren appears politely, but this marks the start of his infiltration and future betrayal.
